Not much has changed in the house. We need to get in there and paint so that we can move on to putting things back together. It looks about the same as last time.
Our van broke down again on Friday, so we spent most of our Friday evening and Saturday figuring out how to get it towed back to town. Of course it broken down 30 miles away from home. Now, we are just stressing about what could be wrong and how much it’s going to cost. We already sunk a lot into it on Thursday.
Life has just been one hard and frustrating thing after another for the past several years. We are honestly weary and worn out. I don’t think we can take much more of it. Every time things start to look up a little, something else gets thrown our way. You know when you are swimming and swimming and eventually you just get exhausted and feel like you couldn’t possibly swim anymore? That is where we are.
So, we stopped by the farmhouse and watched the sun set. The girls caught lightning bugs. It looked like glitter from all of them.
I’ll just share some pretty pictures from Friday evening since the rest of the house hasn’t changed much. With the holiday weekend, we are hoping to get a lot of painting done and hopefully things will move along quickly after that.
I know I keep saying it, but this place is so calming. It is quiet and still, and is a place where my mind can rest.
