The flowers are blooming all over the farm. It’s so beautiful and smells delightful. Flowers are always my favorite.

My hydro flask bottle (or tumbler) goes with me everywhere. I’m trying so hard to drink more water, and this makes it so much easier for me. Does anyone else find that they drink more from a cute cup/bottle? **It is pricey, but has a lifetime warranty, so it’s worth the investment in my opinion.

Look at this tent! I’m so disappointed that our tent had a pole snap. I’ve searched for weeks, and can’t find a pole that size. The tent is so old that Coleman also doesn’t have any replacements for it. So, we are tent shopping. I really don’t want to shy away from the Coleman brand since I know the quality. Does anyone have an Ozark Trail tent?

I made this corn dip, and it is so delicious. I subbed plain greek yogurt for the sour cream. I also didn’t have any jalapeños or green onion. It would taste even better with them! It makes a TON– perfect for a summer cookout.

This mayonnaise cake recipe is so good. Have you ever had it? I’ve made it twice during our time at home.

I hope that you have a lovely weekend and enjoy some sunshine!

  • Pretty in Pink

Pink is my favorite color, and it’s such a fun color for spring. I really love the vintage and blush pink shades.

toiletry bag // I’ve been wanting a new toiletry bag for quite some time. I love how functional this one looks– and the color options are perfection.

keychain bracelet // Does anyone have one of these? What do you think? My hands are ALWAYS full when I need to unlock a door, and I’m really contemplating buying one.

Blue Light Blocking Glasses // I have these and love them. If your work involves a screen, or you just look at a screen a lot, I highly recommend these. They have neutral options if pink isn’t your thing. 😉

arrow backpack // I’m obsessed with these, and love that it is a family owned business. Seriously, click through and look at the way they open!

Library t-shirt// Love this! Pink and a Harry Potter quote!

Charging cord// I love the retro feel of this! It’s just fun. I have this brand of cord, and it has lasted SO much longer than any of my apple ones ever have.

hip/crossbody bag // I love this one! I’ve wanted to try a fanny pack for a while. I love that this can be worn cross-body as well if you hate the fanny pack.

  • A Few Cozy Favorites

‘Tis the season for cozy. I LOVE cozy things. Slippers, sweaters, blankets, coffee.. on and on and on. I’m especially in the mood for cozy since we are constantly. on. the. go. these days. Appointments, practices, tumbling, activities, work, etc. are constantly keeping us busy. I’d give anything to hide from it all for a week.

I was delighted to find these slippers on sale for a ridiculously cheap price. (I love when slippers last for years.) If animal print isn’t your thing, they have a lot of other options. (Use the code WINWIN to get them buy one get one free!!!!)

This broccoli cheddar soup recipe is delicious. Don’t skip the nutmeg! Serve it in a homemade bread bowl. MMmm

I’m a big fan of cozy throws. I own too many. Mine are all old and can’t be linked, but this one is beautiful. I love to cozy up under a blanket and read a good book. (Currently reading this one.)

These fluffy jackets are always really cute. But, can a curvy girl pull them off? I’m already fluffy enough. Either way, it’s perfect to throw on and keep cozy around the house.

Make your own Chai Tea Latte. Yum. I’d take a good chai latte any day over just about any other drink.

Y’all. It’s going to be FREEZING on Halloween. Legitimately below freezing temps and rain forecasted for Halloween night. We’re going to need all of the cozy!

September first is the unofficial first day of fall in my mind. I’ve held off this year– mostly due do the move. Fall OFFICIALLY starts next week, so I thought I’d share some of my fall favorites. If the darn weather would just STOP with the summer temperatures and humidity, we’d be set.

I love this cardigan from Target. It reminds me of this one from Madewell– but much more affordable. These booties are also some of my favorites.

I love these jammies for the kiddos! I know, that’s sneaking some Halloween in but I just can’t help myself.

This headband/scrunchie set is so cute! The colors are perfect for Fall and Winter. Is anyone else excited about this trend being back?

This sweater from Amazon is super cute! There are tons of cute sweater options!

This broccoli cheddar soup recipe is my FAVORITE. The nutmeg makes all the difference.

Crock pot stroganoff— we have made this recipe for YEARS. It is one of our favorite comfort foods. It’s so yummy. We’ve served it over both egg noodles and mashed potatoes. Both ways are delicious.

    This spice cake sounds yummy.

Speaking of spices– I may whip up some of these scented play doughs.

I hope that you have a lovely weekend– and that you have wonderful weather wherever you live!

**A special thanks to Heather Stillufsen for letting me use this image! Her art is my favorite, so go check her out. I have this planner, and love that I can frame her art when I’m done with it!

We are gearing up for another big snow storm around here. Luckily, we don’t have to go anywhere tonight or tomorrow, so we will just snuggle up and enjoy the forced rest.

Scott and I are heading to Chicago next week for the Eat What you Love book tour. If you haven’t bought this cookbook yet, you should. It’s my FAVORITE.

    The Re-Definition of Superwoman

This video had me sobbing. So beautiful and inspiring.

Dear Special Needs Mom– so though provoking and needed. Meg is one of my favorites to follow on Instagram.

I am so excited about this book video intro. (Pre-order here)

I’ve been using these to get some extra greens in my diet this year. They taste surprisingly yummy.

Simplify your Mornings– this is so good, even if you aren’t trying to get kids out the door early.

Marie Kondo Kitchen Tips– How cozy is Brooke’s kitchen?!

I hope that you all stay safe and warm! Happy weekend, friends!

  • Amazon Favorites- Kid Edition

    amazon favorites kids

I’m going to change up the Friday favorites for a few weeks and share my favorite amazon purchases. Because I shop on Amazon frequently, I am breaking them up in different categories. Last week, I shared my favorite home purchases. This week it’s on to kids. These are things that we have purchased from Amazon and LOVE.
Water Magic books // These are similar to the Melissa & Doug water wow books. These also have scent added to them, so they are multi-sensory. These are my favorite for road trips and long waits. They are virtually mess free; the biggest risk is a younger child unscrewing the lid and spilling a little water. They keep our kids quite for HOURS in the car.
Puzzle Pouch // I love that these puzzles have big enough pieces for a toddler to put together. You can easily clean them up and put them back in their zippered pouch– perfect for throwing in your bag! (These are currently in my cart, I haven’t yet purchased them. They come HIGHLY recommended though.)
Trampoline // This is so fun for kids. It does have a weight limit, so make sure your kids aren’t above that. All of my daughters have loved jumping on this thing. It’s a great way to get out energy, and it’s small enough to have inside in the LONG winter months.
Ok to Wake! clock // Our older kids were getting out of bed absurdly early in the morning. It was driving me crazy. I finally bought this clock and told them that they were not to leave there room until it was glowing green. Over time, they started sleeping until the time the light came on. It’s been a sanity saver for sure!
wood table // This table has held up through a lot. It is sturdy and strong. Chloe will still sit at it to play with Harper. It’s sturdy and doesn’t add any more bright colors to a space, which feels like a huge win. I like color, but sometimes my senses need a break!
sticker pad // These are another great thing to take on trips. We also love the faces. These keep kids entertained for so long. They still have a little mess, but nothing too terrible. I love having these on hand in the winter when we get a little stir crazy.
Bath Caddy // This bath caddy was my favorite purchase. I was sick of the crummy solutions to bath toy storage. This allows your bath toys to dry off and drain. Plus, if you have really little ones that take baths together, you can divide the tub in the event of an argument.
headphones // These are our favorite kids headphones. Chloe and Addi do each have a kids kindle that they get for a certain amount of time each day on the weekdays. I don’t want to listen to the obnoxious games, and this is a great solution. They have a sound limit, so your kids can’t hurt their ears. They are so soft and come in a lot of colors.
magnetic toys // This is a favorite toy of our kids by far. They can build whatever their mind imagines. It is so fun to see what they come up with. They are a perfect STEM toy. I love fostering creativity in our kids. The magnets in these are incredibly strong, so they can build really tall towers without them crashing down from the weight.

All of the above links are affiliate links. That means that should you decide to purchase anything, I will receive a small commission. Your price never changes, but it does help support my family and me. I truly am so grateful for your support of this blog and my family. It means the world to me.

  • Best Online Sales

    cup-2218405_960_720
Today is Black Friday. I went out shopping with my mom bright (dark) and early this morning. We found some really awesome deals, that are only available in stores. I have found some fun deals online though, so if you are looking for gift ideas, click away. Shopping from the comfort of your own home is always so much better.
LILY JADE! I think I have declared my love for Lily Jade several times. EVERY bag is on sale. They have some new colors that are available for preorder at the sale price. Goodness, that magnolia green is stunning. Their essentials cases are also only $29. All genuine leather with a smooth red lining inside. These are so amazing and hold a ton. I have the square case in camel and love it. It holds a ton and can even be used as a small clutch for date nights.
Madewell is 25% off, and Nordstrom is price matching. Their items are typically really expensive, but their earrings are super cute and not terribly outrageously priced. I love the simplicity of these tassel drop earrings. These delicate bar & chain earrings are also really fun and simple.
This bra is also my favorite. I have never paid full price for it. Ever. I have found that $20 bras from Target are just really uncomfortable. This one is pretty and so comfortable. It does run small, so size up.  It’s also on Amazon for cheaper in certain combinations.
Tubby Todd is our favorite bath product brand for the kids. It’s so great for the eczema and free from all of the junk you really don’t want to put on your skin. Use the code TUBBYMAMAS2017 for 20% off through midnight.
The kids kindle fire is still less than $70 right now.  We are pairing them with these headphones, which feel really well made.
We got this Melissa & Doug table for Harper two years ago and it is still perfect. WE LOVE IT!! There are a lot of Melissa & Doug deals on amazon today, so check them out!
My FAVORITE hand sanitizer is buy one get one free!! Thieves waterless sanitizer is the bomb and smells like peppermint. 15% off 15mL Tea Tree and Lavender. 15% off 5 mL of sacred sandalwood. 15% off Savvy Minerals line. It’s such a good sale. And, if you want to sign up and get your premium starter kit to receive even more discounts, shoot me an e-mail and I’d be happy to help!
Nickel and Suede will be having their sale tomorrow for Small Business Saturday.
