Baby Goat Hugs

Happy Monday!!
My family is finally well! It has been wonderful getting out of the house again.
Sunday, my dad invited Scott to go golfing with him and a couple of other men after church. I had our vehicle, and decided there was no way that I was going to stay in the house.
I looked up zoo prices online, and determined that we were going to enjoy a perfect temperature afternoon at the zoo. Maybe I was crazy taking all three of them by myself, but I couldn’t resist.
It ended up being perfect. Everyone was leaving as we arrived, so it was empty! The animals were really active because it wasn’t too hot or cold. Plus, babies!!
There were baby goats everywhere. Addi gently hugged every single baby goat multiple times.

Harper really attached to one particular baby, and kept bringing it hay. I am pretty sure it just wanted a nap. They are so adorable, and I really want one.. or fifty. Even if they do eat my hair and every article of clothing on my body.

There was also a baby wallaby. It was so cute to see it drinking and then they both hopped off together.

They all wanted a picture with this big penguin even though Chloe and Addi were mad at me. They wanted to play on the playground, but we had to get going. Immediately, all of the fun they had been having was gone and anger was abounding. Ugh. Do any other parents experience this?! It’s so frustrating.
We talked on the way home about what their favorite parts of the zoo were, and they forgot about the park.
Today, we are finally back to our normal schedule, which feels really good after two weeks of keeping my head above water. Back to school! Back to school!
